Return for the quarter ended the 30th June last which related to the Writers and Storemen employed in Her Majesty's Naval Yard, all of whom are subjected to abatement from their salaries for Income Tax.
Being informed that persons holding similar positions in other Departments of Her Majesty's Government at Hongkong are exempted from Payment of the said tax, I beg that your Excellency will be good enough to inform me whether such privilege can be extended to the employés named in the annexed Return.
